On the way to taking my daughter Abby to school today, I heard the song "When I Hear You Smile". (Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu6pclWsxzs )

I often like to take songs and make them between me and God, so this song made me think of Jesus smiling at me.

Like the song says, when I see you smile, I can do almost anything. As I have come to understand God's love for me and that the Father looks at me through His son, Jesus, I know He smiles at me. Colossians 3:3 says, " For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."

When I share with a group of people about what the Lord has done in my life or step out into the "unknown", I am able to do it because, I know He smiles at me. Even if no one understands me or is pleased with me, Jesus smiles at me and is pleased with me. The Lord smiling at me has truly given me the courage to take great steps of faith over and over in my life and to rest on His L.A.P. (love, approval and provision).

This week I have experienced Jesus smiling at me through others too. I have been blessed by encouraging words of friends on Facebook, some words from my pastor and friend, the wisdom from my own life coach and a friend in a similar situation that I am in, and by friends who are walking with me during an ongoing season of pain in my life.

I am thinking of a particular situation with someone that is difficult right now. I want Jesus to help me smile at this individual so that in essence this person will also feel the smile of Jesus.

In writing this, I too hope that you may know that Jesus smiles at you also and with His love you can do anything!! Also have fun taking songs and making them between you and God. It is fun!
